Kitchens for Good operates four interconnected programs to tackle issues of food waste, hunger and poverty in San Diego. Porgrams include: Project Launch, a culinary job training program for populations considered difficult to employ, Project Reclaim, a food rescue program to reclaim food that might otherwise go to waste, and Project Nourish, our hunger relief meal program in which donated food is prepared into meals during the Project Launch class time and distributed to communities in need. Project Kitchen is the social enterprise catering arm which generates revenue for programs and creates on the job training opportunities for students. These four programs are inextricably linked and, together, provide positive solutions for those facing poverty and hunger in San Diego County.
