Nina Holtz

Food Systems Coordinator 

Nina starting working in the nonprofit sector in 2012 while earning her BA in Environmental Studies and INVST Community Studies. Over the last six years, Nina has served in various administrative, volunteer, and direct service roles for nonprofits focused on adult/youth homelessness, food insecurity, and LGBTQIA issues.  Nina began her work at Kitchens for Good as their AmeriCorps VIP Fellow in September 2016. Over her 17 months of service, Nina expanded volunteer engagement from 5 individuals to 500+, formalized the volunteer and internship programs, and increased the food rescue by 50%. As the Food Systems Coordinator, Nina oversees the volunteer program, Project Reclaim food rescue program, and Project Nourish program evaluation. Originally from San Diego, Nina is thrilled to be home and working towards systemic solutions.
