Katrina brings with her an extensive background of employment and workforce development experience with a passion for helping those hardest to employ, get jobs. Katrina has spent the last several years working in the non-profit sector at North County Lifeline and more recently at San Diego Workforce Partnership. As a former recruiter Katrina brings significant employer insights to her classroom, allowing her to guide students to be their best and to meet high expectations. She is happy to bring her experience to help the students become self –sufficient through a culinary arts career path. As an added benefit, she is excited to know that this also helps in preventing food waste and providing hunger relief while creating jobs! Katrina has a Masters in Psychology and teaching credentials. While not working at Kitchens for Good, Katrina volunteers as a therapist at Veterans Village of San Diego.
