Fed Up: A Complimentary Lunch for Furloughed San Diegans

As the government shutdown drags into its fifth week, many Federal Employees in San Diego await a paycheck. For furloughed federal workers and government contractors affected by the shutdown, Kitchens for Good welcomes them to FED UP: a complimentary gourmet meal prepared by Kitchens for Good chefs and culinary students. FED UP will take place on Wednesday, January 23, at Kitchens for Good from Noon – 7pm. Federal workers, whose compensation has been delayed, are invited to bring their families to this community luncheon. In partnership with Feeding San Diego, groceries will also be available for participants to take home following the event.

The lunch takes place in our on-site event center, Celebration Hall: 404 Euclid Avenue, San Diego. We have ample free parking, and invite you to bring your spouse / partner and children.

This lunch is for furloughed federal employees and their family, and government contractors affected by the shutdown.
